Tarun Sagar Ji’s Kadve Pravachan

Muni Tarun Sagar is a very well known Digambara monk. His lectures are called kadve pravachan because his views and lectures can be critical of the practices we follow. His lectures include family and social issues that other Jain monks avoid. The crowd that listens to his lectures mostly consists of non-Jains. Excerpts from his lecture are even published in news papers. Recently he has launched a book called kadve pravachan in which he has compiled all his thoughts.
While other Jain monks avoid interacting with politicians, Muni Tarun Sagar often meets them, either as a guest or a guru. Although he is from the Digambar School, he promotes and believes in non-sectarian views. In September 2009, Muni Tarun Sagar was invited to a Vijaya Dashami function by RSS in Nagpur, where he told the RSS members that their leather belts were not a sign of non-violence and that is how the leather belts were replaced with the canvas belts.
He has been very neutral and candid about politics and politicians. He praises as well as criticizes them for their work.
